Dutch Shipping Defence N.V. (DSD) - established in 1996 - is an insurance company who specialise in providing Legal Cost Insurance (FD&D cover) to ship owners, operators and charterers.

DSD is managed by Dutch P&I Services B.V. This is a specialized P&I insurance intermediary, supported by strong financial partners. It holds a sizeable portfolio of marine liability and related covers for a wide range of clients. Services include broking, claims handling and legal defence. Dutch P&I has an extensive network of lawyers, consultants, experts and surveyors. Furthermore, it has its own team of defence lawyers and advisers, enabling them to provide swift and comprehensive assistance worldwide.

Dutch P&I operates from their head office in Rotterdam as well as from their offices in Antwerp and Copenhagen.
